User Adoption and Impact of Qlik
Crider Foods partners with CHAMPS Analytics to get real-time analytics and reports. The user adoption improved drastically following implementation. Our company relied solely on reports generated from Excel which was extremely slow and manual. What few automatic reports we did have were very limited in what they could show, and hard to export to work with the data. Everyone had their own set of data that they trusted. Implementation of Qlik helped us all read from the same source, and have quickly available, accurate data. This means we spend more time using the data to make better decisions than we do putting the data together, which is a huge shift for us.
We initially planned to slowly roll Qlik out to our team, a little at a time, over the course of 6 to 12 months. As soon as we got it installed, we quickly had dozens of people asking for access. CHAMPS Analytics did a great job giving us reports, and Qlik is easy enough to learn to use, that several in our team immediately jumped into it and started modifying their own reports. Within a month, we were up and running in multiple departments, and we easily started recognizing value in the first month. Now we can hardly remember not having Qlik, as it has become essential to what we do.
Recognizing Business Value
Previously, we had several high-level employees spending large portions of their time generating reports. Now that they do not have to make these reports manually, they have more time to spend on the factory floor. Their additional time alone has generated enough savings to pay for the implementation. Additionally, the reports we now have in Qlik are more accurate, and available much sooner, so we are able to solve problems much faster. Our efficiencies are up several percent over what they were. Our accuracy in entering data is literally twice as good as it was prior to Qlik.

They are able to trust the data and be comfortable knowing that everyone will provide them with data that does not contradict one another.
Qlik has greatly impacted our company culture. We were a company that was very good at "Putting out fires." We constantly jumped on the biggest problem of the day, worked on it until something bigger came along. Now, we can understand where our repeat problems are, and direct more attention to thoroughly solving them and addressing the root causes, instead of getting side-tracked on the flavor of the day. Employees entering information now also know that the information is being used, and that they will have to answer for it if there is an issue, and previously we struggled with accountability.
