City Of Tallahassee - TPS Waste Water Treatment Plant
The City of Tallahassee’s Wastewater Treatment Plant provides for the pumping of wastewater from the Wastewater Collection System to the Thomas P. Smith Water Reclamation Facility.
The City of Tallahassee was struggling to pull data from their work management system. As a result, they couldn’t keep track of KPI’s and there was no central way to interrogate the data and get quick answers to questions about how the plant was performing. They needed to become a more metric driven organization.
The City of Tallahassee partnered with CHAMPS Analytics and deployed Qlik to consolidate the data from their CMMS system. Thanks to Qlik’s ability to ingest large volumes of data, the Work Management and Operations Department can optimize their work schedule, load balance all assignments and manage their plant more effectively.
Now COT uses Qlik to:
- Ensure all spending on assets are properly done on schedule and on budget
- Eliminate duplicate work
- Analyze safety behaviors
- Holding crew leaders accountable to completing work on time, reducing the amount of corrective work
- Optimizing the preventative maintenance work and staff scheduling.
Qlik has helped The City of Tallahassee to simply analyze their data and operate more effectively. Their goal of becoming a metric driven organization is happening in real-time. As a result, since 2016, over $6 million dollars in savings have been realized by focusing on analytics to improve performance.
All the major KPI’s that run the plant more effectively are now available and updated multiple times a day.
